Human Resource/Payroll Generalist
The HR/Payroll Generalist position is involved in all areas of HR and payroll. The position processes payroll, administers employee health and welfare plans, assists employees with benefits-related questions, ensures positive employee relations, maintains all employee records, HRIS data-entry and is responsible for comprehensive recruiting from ad placement through onboarding.

Essential Functions:
Expert understanding of payroll processing activities - processing payroll, providing training to system users, researching and resolving issues
Administering health and welfare plans, including enrollments and terminations. Processing required documents to ensure accurate record keeping and proper deductions
Conducting new-employee orientations to ensure employees understanding of benefits plans
Coordinating benefits annual open enrollment
Processing monthly billings from insurance providers
ACA and ERISA benefits reporting
Recruiting activities for non-exempt positions including posting positions, scheduling interviews, conducting screening interviews and maintaining related records
Candidate must fully understand the nature of HR and Payroll responsibilities and maintain a high level of confidentiality and professional integrity
Effective project management and organizational skills are essential - prioritizing workload, multitasking, adaptability to near term projects
Excellent communication skills are also essential - effectively and tactfully communicating with all levels of internal and external customers verbally and in writing
Strong problem solving and analytical skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources or equivalent preferred.
Minimum 3 years payroll processing. Experience with Ultimate Kronos Group HR/Payroll software preferred.
3-5 years HR Generalist experience administering employee benefits and recruiting.
