MACHINE OPERATOR/MATERIAL HANDLER/FORKLIFT OPERATOR

Our Full-time machine operators, forklift operators/material handlers work 12-hour shifts, 8 am to 8 pm or 8 pm to 8 am – 3 days on 2 days off, 2 days on 3 days off.

Sign on bonus up to $1,500. Bonus offered for limited time and may include additional terms/conditions. Employees must be employed at time of payout

Job Description

Operate forklift
Set-up, operate and maintain manufacturing extrusion and slitting equipment
Maintain housekeeping in work area
Work safely, identify unsafe conditions, and take action to mitigate
Complete set-up instructions, and set machine operating conditions via a computerized operator interface
Read production schedules and work orders. Set-up raw materials and machine conditions to meet the requirements of the work order.
Monitor machine operating conditions, alarms, and on-line gauges. Independently react to correct deviations.

Monitor machine for equipment malfunctions, troubleshoot and make needed corrections
Perform quality inspections and testing on product
Offer ideas for improving the performance of the operations Experience Required:
Ability to operate mechanical production equipment
Forklift/Material Handling
Previous manufacturing machine operator experience preferred
Basic computer skills (some data entry is required)
